Once again thank you for the information you have provided. In light of this information, I will definitely be buying the Canon housing with the Nano Flash set.
Also, I'd like to add that your service has been exceptional in helping me decide what to buy. This made me even feel better in buying your products.

Thank you,

Roman Austria, August 2008

More than gappy - the cam is gorgeous! Just two days of diving and already four manta rays and five! ocean sunfish!!!

I just got the P5000 and the Fantasea housing. I am very impressed by the Fantasea housing, very well built, 4 buckles and a 1 year fload insurance...Why would go the Ikelite route which is more than twice the price?
The P5000 is very nice with full manual features which is great. The lag is a downside, but unless you go DSLR, all compact cameras that I know off have a lag... Not a big deal as far as I am concern. I used it fot the first time last Saturday in very bad conditions (poor vis) and the pictures came out surprisingly well.

A couple years ago I was in the market for an underwater camera housing. I wasn’t prepared for the sticker shock with many over $1,000. I had a small Nikon Coolpix camera and came across the Fantasea Underwater Housing.

Coupled with an inexpensive strobe, and a few different lenses, this is an unbeatable value for the amateur underwater photographer. These are a couple random photos I took with the combination on a trip to Truk Lagoon…

Dear Janice
Thank you very much. It's been a pleasure to have this situation resolved to my complete satisfaction.
It's nice to know that when you buy a product that has this type of warranty that everything actually works as advertised.
I received my check in the mail today.
I am looking forward getting every thing back together and resume my love of diving and taking pictures of the beautiful world under-water.
Again thank you and all involved very much.

hello everyone at Fantasea,
I wanted to give some feedback on the nano flash:
- I think the nano flash is awesome. It's light, inexpensive, and works great with fish shots and macro shots.

It works great with my Fuji F10 camera as a "slave strobe". always fires. i haven't needed the fiber optic cable

- the strobe seems to be quite water resistant

- fantasea is getting some good marketing, i've been on the home page of the slugsite twice, check out this link:

http://slugsite.tierranet.com/

for underwater photographers, being on the slugsite is a big honor!!!

- I think there is a great market for this product, I am always reading about people having problems with ikelite strobes, or not being able to afford ikelite/inon.

Dear Janice,

I want to thank you for your efforts in this and your willingness to continue to work with us to bring this to a conclusion. The level of customer service you demonstrated is a rarity in today's commercial world and both my wife and I sincerely thank you for it.

We wish you all the best.

Dear All,

Ran, Howard, Barbara, Nadav, and the rest of Fantasea Team that i have not
been in contact with.

Just one more word of thanks to all of you, as i have received my order in a

perfect shape two days before my travelling deadline (i'm leaving in a
while), and i have to express how impressed and satisfied i was from the way

you guys handled my order, since the day i started communicating with you
either by phone or by email, and how personal you all took matters and made
sure that i receive the order all in one package all ahead of time.

Email replies were prompt, and informative, there was always someone to
answer the phone, and i got the order 3 days after my first phone callwhich was pretty impressive to me. About the housing (CP-8N for Niukon CP 8800), i think its pretty smart, the
way the controls are designed where a single rotating button can serve more
than one purpose, i was using ikelite before on a nikon CP 8400, and this is

certainly smarter and no cramped buttons.

Hopefully i'll be able to post some nice shots on your gallery page when i
come back.

Thanks again and best regards.

If It Does Not Work, Lets Not Sell It In The First Place!

BizNet Takes A Look At A Company That Believes Customer Service Starts With The Products You Sell!
Fantasea, Getting It Right From The Get Go.

Fantasea, this company mainly sells water proof housings for digital cameras. Now this company not only sells the units, but they design them, and have them manufactured for them. Check them out at http://www.fantasea.com.
A while back they were looking at expanding their product line by selling a computerized dive watch for around $100.00. But the closer they got to marketing the unit, and analyzing their prototypes and pre-production models, they found themselves feeling that this unit was just not going to be right for “their” customers. Just not enough for the money, and they felt uneasy about the product. So even after investing in getting this unit almost 100% ready for production, they walked away from the product and the investment they had in it.
Why? Because this company sets a very high standard for the quality and reliability on the products they offer.
By putting such standards on their products they know that their customers will be getting a great value for their money and have confidence in the complete product line. They know that great products equal great customer satisfaction. After all, if your customers are impressed by the quality of what their money bought, then they will help promote your company.
Howard has years and years in product inventing, manufacturing, and distributing. We at BizNet Give them the WOW Award. And wish them the best in the years to come.

I have the coolpix 4300 and bought a Fantasea housing because it seemed like a good deal. I'm very pleased with the results. It's an affordable and easy to use system. I handed the camera to my sister who has no UW photo experience while I used my Nikonos V. Here are some of her results...

Hi Howard,

Thanks for the help, I disassembled/reassembled last night and everything was working!
I can see that I am hooked on photography and will someday upgrade but for now my cost effective system hopefully will do the trick.

I can't say enough about your company, from the speed of delivery to no hassle regarding foreign credit cards and outstanding help. Already people on the boat are asking what my system is and I give them your name. There are alot of divers who don't want to sink their life savings into photography and your prices are the best.

The torches arrived with TNT yesterday. I tested one against my Epoque ES-1225. Considering the cost, the Fantasea 44 LED Light totally blows the Epoque out of the water. The LED light is evenly spread over 50 cm at 100 cm distance and there are no visible color shifts at all. My brother in law, who is a pro photographer, helped me to measure the total strength of the torches. It turns out that the Fantasea 44 LED Light is equivalent of a 50-watt halogen lamp! It is 2 times stronger than the Epoque (4 times if the color correction filter is attached to the Epoque). However the Epoque spreads the light much more. I am very satisfied!!!

Best regards,

Hans Spicar

Howard, sorry for not responding sooner (I've been on a diving vacation!). I used the CP-4 Pro housing along with the Epoque ES-150, single tray, and 12" arm. We had 5 dives/day for 6 days (live-aboard) and the camera/housing/flash worked flawlessly for each dive. I've still got some things to learn about adjusting the manual flash, but I ended up with a good many excellent photos. Thanks for the great, yet affordable setup!

I had purchased the camera before I got back into diving, so the CP-4 Pro housing worked out great for us. I've taken quite a few shots underwater, and the results are getting better. Overall I like the enclosure. I like the low cost, and the features it does provide to you under water (i.e. moving through pics, changing to macro mode, etc).

We’ve really enjoyed our housing thus far. It seems to be very durable and forgiving and I like its many buttons allowing accesses to most of the camera features. I also like its size, small. Look forward to trying out more of the gadgets you have to offer. I’ve attached a photo of a small moray taken at ~30’ with your housing and the Nikon Coolpix 4300 (no flash) off Oahu in Hawaii, where we live.

Just a quick thank you and praise for the excellent service. I placed an order for a housing, strobe and accessories on Saturday 14/05/04, and the whole thing arrived first thing today, 21/05/04. bearing in mind that the order was placed at a weekend, and that it was to be shipped half way around the world to the UK, This is service and delivery of the highest calibre and a credit to you and the shipping co. I used the

also using my brand new Nikon 4300 for the first time, but the housing worked exceptionally well, as a matter of fact there was a gentleman on the trip
with the exact same housing and we were both using them for the first time.
Once again the product performed above my expectations and will recommend it and your company to friends.

Thank You.

from "Digideep" Forum

I think the housing is of high quality (I have the pro version) and it seems trustworthy. I really appreciate the fact that it has the lcd shield to make it easier to see the screen. On a lot of housings, it is extra. It also has a fairly bulletproof locking system, and the seal is wide with two separate levels, so it look like there are effectively 2 inner seals for protection.

I had one of the sealife digitals for a while, and thought it was a real piece of cr** compared to this so far. It was about the same price, but had less access to controls, took inferior pics (compared to this nice midrange camera), and didn't come in 4MP (it was 3 max, I think). For this CP4 and 4300 I paid $599 (total), and another $189 for the flash. If you are trying to decide between the two, IMHO its a no brainer. Similar cost, better quality, and a free flood warranty.

The Fantasea is a great case, good price and well built. I used one on a 4300 and would not hesistate to buy one.

One incredible perk is the 1 year included FLOOD INSURANCE that comes with their cases. Canon didn't do it for my Powershot camera, but Fantasea will! Its one of the better values in cases out there. The insurance is roughly worth $50-100, a superb deal.

I do however own both the Oly and the and the Nikon. The Nikon camera is 4.3 pixels. As Ryan has stated, the Nikon limits the number of manual controls. These settings are workable for U\W Photogs, several people here have had great success with this setup. I have the Fantasea housing, which I do like! IMHO, Their costumer service is wonderful. They build a quality product, and stand behind it.

Its about time the 4300 starts to get some re...
Its about time the 4300 starts to get some reviews.

I just shot 200-300 pictures with the Nikon and Fantasea housing during 12 dives over 5 days in Belize.

I'm still wading through the mass of photos, but will get some posted up soon.

Kudo's to the Fantasea housing, I took it down to 150 foot deep in the Blue Hole and no leaks or problems.

I shot mostly in auto mode, but found too much bluing and washed out colors if the auto-exposure took it at 1/60 shutter and a F2.8, most all the F7.2 or F8 stop pics had much better contrast, so I shot some in forced manual 1/60th and f7.2 too.

Macro shots during a night dive are spectacular, you need to zoom out about 1/2 lens travel to not have the built in flash shadow from the housing, but no big deal once you learn the camera.

Camera got pretty warm over 50-60 forced flashes per dive and I had a bit of condensation build up that cleared up once I started using anti-fog on the inside housing lens and monitor screen window.

Dive routine was to shoot about 40-60 shoots per dive, and during topside I'd review pics and delete poor shots, then change Ni-MH to a fresh one and do another dive.

Built in flash was actually surprizingly bright up to 5 foot away, you start to lose flash coverage past 6-7 foot.

You can fill up a 256 meg CF chip pretty fast shooting at 1600x1200 pixel shots, which are about 650-700K per picture.

The Fantasea housing doesn't allow changing between auto and manual exposure or go to movie mode, nor access to the MENU functions so you can't set white-balance at depth either.

For a "first time" user of a dive camera, I found the pictures for the most part are top notch, and when everything works perfect the pictures are quite stunning for a 4 meg pixel $500 total investment set-up.

Camera was $320 off the web, and the housing is about $185.

Top side surface shots are great too, and those Nikon Cool Pix series fit ohhhh so nice in your hand.

Over a 2 week trip in Belize, we shot over 1000 photos and filled up Two 256 meg ram chips, and a 128 meg ram too.

Any questions, I'll really try and help out.

I'll get some pictures posted real soon, or PM me and I can send some dirrectly to your email if you want.

Hi Howard,

I told you I would let you know when the Fantasea light is on the cover of "Dive Training" magazine. It is the December 2005 issue and can be seen at http://www.dtmag.com.

The light works great with lots of burn time, which my wife really enjoys. It is hard to see which light is being used from the cover, but when you enter the magazine and see the reverse, you can tell it is one of your lights. I did not have to do any color correction to make the light white as it gives a very natural looking light which is great for photos.

Happy holidays,

I've been a customer with Fantasea for about two years now. I have had the CP-4 Pro, the FP-4 and now I hve ust ordered the FD-70N that I'm waiting for. The only reason for changing has been my wanting to "upgrade"...

Hello! I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know of my latest experiences with your housing. I first learned of your housing during a dive trip last Jan. to Turks and Caicos, where the dive shop rented your housing with a Nikon 4300 camera. A couple of my dive mates rented them and took some very nice shots. Anyway we purchased the set up last year and I finally had a chance to try it out in Fiji last week. I took it on every dive and had some reasonable results for my first attempt at photography underwater but managed to lose the whole camera and housing on a night dive half way through the trip. I was devasted! To help ease my disappoitment the dive guides assured me we would return to the site the next morning and do our first dive there. Much to my surprise after a few minutes of diving the dive master came back with my camera which he found hanging on the coral from the night before! To add to my enjoyment the battery still had life and took pictures of the turtle that swam by shortly thereafter! I just wanted to take the time to thank you for manufacturing your product! Without it I would not have any pictures from my dive trip to Fiji~!

Thanks Again!
Diana Boyd
